2025 Canadian Car of the Year Awards (CNW Group/Automobile Journalists Association of Canada)
The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada has announced the semi-finalists for the 2025 Canadian Car of the Year Awards with a list representing the best vehicles on sale in Canada competing across four award categories.
The jury includes 46 AJAC members who selected their top vehicles in each of the four categories: Canadian Car of the Year, Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year, Canadian Electric Car of the Year, and Canadian Electric Utility Vehicle of the Year, as part of stage one.
“Our 46 jurors are all AJAC members, some of the top automotive journalists in the country, and they live from Halifax to Vancouver, driving in the same conditions Canadians face every day,” said Evan Williams, President of AJAC, in a statement.
He added that every vote comes from an expert who has driven the vehicle. “We believe it shows Canadian drivers they can be confident in our results and in the Canadian Car of the Year program.”
The semi-finalists for the 2025 Canadian Car of the Year are: the Acura Integra Type S, Genesis G70, Genesis G80, Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, and the Toyota Prius.
The semi-finalists for the 2025 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year are: the Chevrolet Trax, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mazda CX-70, Nissan Kicks, Subaru Forester, and the Toyota Land Cruiser.
The semi-finalists for the 2025 Canadian Electric Car of the Year are: the BMW i4, Fiat 500e, Hyundai Ioniq 6, Lucid Air, and the Toyota Prius Prime.
