Gearing up for the Western Canadian Dealer Summit this fall

The 2024 Western Canadian Dealer Summit is coming up this fall! Canadian auto dealer will be a media sponsor at the event, which is set to take place at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alta., from Nov. 14-17.

The event begins the evening of Nov. 14 with a welcome reception and registration, followed by a day of workshops and a cocktail reception on Nov. 15. The following day will include workshops, a gala cocktail reception, and the gala dinner. 

The summit will also feature gala keynote speaker Jon Montgomery, who won a gold medal in the skeleton during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. He is currently the host of The Amazing Race Canada, and previously co-hosted the Junos in 2016 with Jann Arden. 

Other speakers include:

Steve Greenfield of Automotive Ventures, who also published a book called “The Future of Automotive Retail” — a guide exploring the rapid technological advancements reshaping the auto industry.

Mathew Growden of Growdy.wtf, who was the head of the auto retail team at Google Canada and has a strong background in digital marketing and auto retail. He is also known for promoting the use of online tools and strategies to improve customer engagement and streamline operations in the auto sector.

Daniel Ross of Canadian Black Book: he is the Senior Manager of Industry Insights & Residual Value Strategy at CBB and is a a key figure in the company’s annual Residual Value Awards.

Rhys Albrecht of Bannister Automotive Group has worked for Starbucks and Disney, and had his own wedding photography business. He then joined Bannister Automotive group in March 2019. 

Brian Benstock is General Manager and Vice President of Paragon Honda and Paragon Acura — the top-certified Honda and Acura dealers across the globe, based in Queens, New York. 

And Erik Johnson of BMO Economics conducts research on financial product market trends, emerging risks, and macroeconomics. He plays an important role in the department’s coverage of the auto sector, while supporting the bank’s internal risk management processes.
