The current President of Nissan Canada (NCI), Steve Milette, is shifting his focus after being named Division Vice President of Dealer Network Development and Customer Resources and Training at Nissan U.S. and Canada.
The announcement is part of a series of senior management appointments in North America effective Aug. 1. Milette will report to Vinay Shahani, Senior Vice President of U.S. Marketing and Sales, and will be based at the regional headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee.
“Steve was the first Canadian to lead Nissan Canada and is also the longest tenured president in our nearly 60-year history in the country,” said Jeremie Papin, Chairperson, Nissan Americas, in a statement.
Milette will now be responsible for establishing and maintaining dealer network representation for Nissan and its Infiniti division in the U.S. and Canada. He will also manage all customer resource operations and training responsibilities for the field organization and dealership employees in the U.S.
Papin said Milette has been a “catalyst for change to the benefit of employees, dealers and customers within the Canadian organization, as well as a positive influence on the larger Nissan family.”
Taking over Milette’s position at Nissan Canada is Trevor Longley, Vice President of Sales Operations, NCI, who will report to Papin. He will be based at NCI headquarters in Mississauga, Ont.
“He led the organization’s customer experience transformation at NCI and was a key figure in managing Nissan’s improved relationship with our Canadian dealers,” said Papin.
As for who will replace Longley, the OEM said his successor will be announced at a later date.
