Tesla adds changes to Autopilot after NHTSA opens probe

Following a recall from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Tesla’s Autopilot in its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles will now detect emergency lights at night in most but not all situations, and will slow the vehicle down. “Tesla does note that the Model 3 and Model Y might still not detect other vehicles’ emergency lights in absolutely all situations, reiterating that Tesla drivers should keep their eyes on the road,” said Car and Driver.
