iA Dealer Services will now include KYCS Global’s vehicle “Locate” program in its product and service offering for dealers.
The move comes as consumer vehicle theft is on the rise in certain locations across Canada, and as thieves are using more sophisticated approaches to steal RVs, cars, boats, motorcycles, heavy-equipment, and other high-value assets.
“Dealers in Canada and the U.S. are already using the device to keep track of inventory on the lot and to generate revenue,” said KYCS Global’s Vice President of Business Affairs, Brian Silva. “With the number of assets reported stolen on the rise, Locate provides dealerships and consumers with a true theft and non-payment recovery solution.”
The program has no monthly subscription fees. The device uses a self-powered battery that can last up to five years, does not include wiring, can be transferred from one vehicle to another, and it can be installed in seconds.
It is also capable of integrating with Dealer Management Systems (DMS). And if a vehicle (asset) is stolen or goes missing, KYCS’ recovery team can remotely program the device to track it. They can also enact a theft recovery through its partnership with Crime Stoppers.
