The Policaro Group announced plans to build a new Porsche Centre at a ground-breaking ceremony in Kitchener-Waterloo. The new dealership is set to be the group’s second Porsche franchise.
The ceremony included remarks from Francesco Policaro, CEO of Policaro Group; Marc Ouayoun, President and CEO of Porsche Cars Canada; Berry Vrbanovic, Mayor of the City of Kitchener; and Scott Davey, Councillor of Ward 1, City of Kitchener.
“We are delighted to break ground at Porsche Centre Kitchener-Waterloo bringing the iconic Porsche brand to this vibrant community,” said Policaro. “This dealership will provide automotive enthusiasts throughout the region with an unrivalled retail experience.”
The new Porsche dealership will be located at 1705 Victoria Street North in Kitchener and will span 75,000 square feet. It will be designed and constructed following Porsche’s Global Image Program (referred to as Destination Porsche), and is expected to create more than 40 new jobs.
“Porsche Centre KitchenerWaterloo exemplifies the Toronto-Waterloo Innovation Corridor, displaying the region as a global hub of innovation and investment,” said Berry Vrbanovic, Mayor of the City of Kitchener. “We’re delighted to see companies like Policaro Group, who are pushing the limits of the traditional automotive sector, find a new home in Kitchener.”
The group also plans to bring Porsche to the Niagara Region in 2023.
