Electric vehicle sales in Australia are on track to eclipse last year’s total by mid-2021, according to CarAdvice. “A total of 1,255 electric vehicles have been reported as sold to the end of April, a 128.4 per cent increase over the same period last year,” said CarAdvice, adding that if the rate continues, the number of EV sales will surpass sales figures registered at the end of June 2020 — when a reported 1,769 EVs were sold.
