Mercedes-Benz steering concerns prompt recall

An issue with the steering shaft, which can cause a loss of steering, has affected a small number of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The 2017 CLA250 and 2017-2018 CLA45 AMG, GLA250 and GLA45 AMG models are affected. Just under 5,000 U.S. vehicles are impacted. Reports claim that the steering shaft bore hole was improperly sized, which can cause the steering universal joint to separate, causing a loss of ability to steer the vehicle.
