Distribution Stox launches online ordering platform, ERP in ON

Distribution Stox, which specializes in the distribution of tires and accessories for cars and light trucks, has launched an online ordering platform and implemented an ERP (enterprise resource planning) software in its Ontario-based facilities.

“We are thrilled to develop the activities of our online ordering platform in Ontario,” said Leif Ellefsen, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer for Distribution Stox Inc. “We sincerely believe that our system creates a better buying experience, and we consider this as one of our greatest strengths.’’

The company is headquartered in Quebec, but has 18 distribution centres across Canada (Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes). It also offers tire storage to customers.

As of March 22, customers will be able to work with the online ordering platform, which Distribution Stox said combines “simple, efficient and intuitive” features. And the implementation of the ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics AX, otherwise known as AX) in its Barrie and Sudbury, Ont. warehouses should provide several benefits to daily operations, while also improving the efficiency of the orders being fulfilled.

“Nowadays, satisfying customers’ needs with innovative solutions is the cornerstone of business activities, and one of the strategic top priorities at Distribution Stox,” said the company in a news release. “The online ordering platform has been specifically designed to enhance customer experience and contains a rich toolset.”

The system also allows customers to manage product purchases with better peace-of-mind, according to Distribution Stox.
