GM wants to go carbon neutral by 2040

General Motors wants to eliminate tailpipe emissions from new light-duty vehicles by 2035 and become carbon neutral by 2040. Chief Executive Mary Barra said the OEM had worked with the Environmental Defense Fund to “develop a shared vision of an all-electric future and an aspiration to eliminate tailpipe emissions from new light-duty vehicles by 2035.” Barra has aggressively pushed GM to embrace electric vehicles and move away from gasoline-powered models.(Source: Reuters) Read the original article.
