Diesel sales are up as OEMs focus on EV pickups

Sales of diesel-powered vehicles are surging, up 28% in 2020, even as automakers work to launch electric vehicles. According to Green Car Reports, five of the top 10 non-gasoline vehicles with the fastest-growing sales between 2019 and 2020 were diesels. “However, the Tesla Model Y was ranked first,” said GCR, later adding that “Several electric pickups are scheduled to arrive within the next year or so, and it will be interesting to see if they blunt diesel’s momentum.” (Source: Green Car Reports) Read the original article.
