Health authorities delay Tesla plans to reopen factory

Tesla’s plans to restart production at its U.S. factory in California have been put on hold after local health authorities in the state stepped in and said the company “must not reopen,” according to CarAdvice. Current restrictions suggest manufacturing in the Alameda County cannot restart until after the end of May. “Tesla has been informed that they do not meet those criteria and must not reopen,” said a spokeswoman for the Alameda Health Department.
