Hinrich Woebcken, the former CEO of Volkswagen Group of North America, will now have the opportunity to consult on initiatives and influence strategic decisions of autonomous mobility solutions company Beep, after recently joining its advisory board.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hinrich to our curated Advisory Board,” said Joe Moye, CEO of Beep. “His expertise spans across the transportation, government and automotive industries. This wealth of knowledge and valuable experience will enhance Beep’s influence in the autonomous mobility market.”
The former Volkswagen CEO also served as regional CEO for Volkswagen North America, which included activities in Canada and Mexico. Prior to his work with Volkswagen, he also garnered 30 years of experience from the auto and manufacturer sector with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. And Woebcken spent nearly a decade as senior vice president for Global Procurement and Driving Dynamics at the BMW Group.
“I am excited to be working with Beep in the autonomous mobility sector, a space that I am very passionate about and one that is set for tremendous growth in the near future,” said Woebcken. “Beep’s offering and influence is growing rapidly, and I’m looking forward to leveraging my experience to contribute to their success.”
Joining the advisory board of Florida-based Beep comes at an interesting time in the industry, where disruptors are forcing significant changes in OEM and dealer plans. Beep, for example, recently deployed its first autonomous shuttles in Central Florida at Lake Nona, Florida.
