2020 Canadian Car of the Year finalists

The 2020 Canadian Car of the Year and Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year finalists have been announced.

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) released the news on February 3, listing six vehicles that have moved into the next round.

The three finalists for Canadian Car of the Year are the Mazda3 (Best Small Car in Canada for 2020), Mercedes-Benz A-Class (Best Small Premium Car in Canada for 2020), and the Porsche 911 Carrera (Best Premium Sports-Performance Car in Canada for 2020).

As for the Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year finalist, the Jaguar I-PACE (Best Premium EV in Canada for 2020), Kia Telluride (Best Large Utility Vehicle in Canada for 2020), and Ram 1500 EcoDiesel (Best Pick-up in Canada for 2020) are the three vehicles that made it to the next round.

“The winners of the 2020 Canadian Car of the Year and Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year will be announced at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, as part of the opening ceremonies for the Canadian International AutoShow in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s John Bassett Theatre, located on the 100 level of the North Building,” said AJAC in a news release.

The three finalists per category were qualified among 12 category winners announced at the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) in January.
