TRADER adds live chat solution to product range

TRADER has joined a growing number of companies offering live chat solutions to help Canadian car dealers meet consumer demands for a better car shopping experience.

The company said its new chat, text and in-app messaging platform allows consumers to easily communicate with dealers throughout the car buying journey. This will also allow auto retailers to sell more cars, since 90 per cent of consumers are more inclined to purchase a vehicle from a dealership that offers messaging options, according to a TRADER news release.

“To keep pace with consumer trends and expectations, we are continuing to make enhancements to the autoTRADER.ca marketplace to increase consumer engagement and attract more visitors to our customers’ vehicle listings,” said Jill Hadfield, Chief Product Officer, at TRADER. “We know that car shoppers are always looking for a faster, more convenient and seamless shopping experience, and live chat, text and in-app messaging will help provide that to them.”

It’s a move that many companies in the retail sector have adopted — offering chat, text and a host of other digital solutions so that car shoppers can more easily access a sales representative and have their questions answers quickly.

TRADER has also released an “all-new and improved website solution” known as TAdvantage. The website is geared towards dealers and is meant to help optimize the entire consumer journey — “from Marketplace to digital ads to websites,” said TRADER.

The company said the new platform features superior technology and improved performance reporting and analytics. It also includes customizable options and advanced integration with digital advertising campaigns.

“By bringing these technologies in-house and building the new TAdvantage from the ground up with our customers’ needs in mind, we are delivering more rapid innovation and the most advanced, Canada-first website solution in market,” said David McMinn, Chief Operating Officer at TRADER.
