Carter Cadillac completes new mega Calgary dealership

Cadillac’s retail business continues to expand with the launch of its first and largest dealer location in North America: Carter Cadillac in Calgary, Alta.

“We’ve noticed an increased interest in luxury vehicles in the west and Calgary is the highest volume market for Cadillac in Western Canada, making it the perfect location for this new dealership,” said Jay McKeen, managing partner, Carter Cadillac.

Carter Cadillac broke ground in Calgary to build its first “Cadillac-exclusive” dealership in Western Canada back in 2017, with the dealership opening originally slated for 2018.

At the time, Cadillac Canada’s managing director Hossein Hassani said the brand was on “an ascent, and uncompromising attention to attitudes, behaviours and policies” is vital to creating a great experience for customers.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place February 5 at the new location at 649 Heritage Drive SE. McKeen and Cadillac president Steve Carlisle hosted the grand opening event, which was also celebrated the brand’s continued growth in Canada — and globally.

The new dealership features 50,000 square feet of space over three storeys, with an upper showroom meant to display Cadillac’s V-Series high-performance vehicles and some of the brand’s vintage cars.

There is also a dual-showroom facility designed to feature new innovative services, such as a virtual reality showroom. And Cadillac’s concierge will offer customers a “full-service” experience, which aims to make the vehicle ownership experience seamless by including things like pick up and return for vehicle servicing.

“Cadillac’s mission is to provide customers with a luxury experience that is second to none, and this applies to our facilities and services as much as it does our vehicles” said Carlisle. “Carter Cadillac’s new dealership perfectly showcases that philosophy, and we couldn’t be more excited about opening it in one of our most burgeoning markets.”

Thirty new full-time jobs will result from this dealership, with another 10 positions anticipated by the end of 2019.
