Strong lineup for CADA Summit 2019

Preparations for the 7th annual CADA Summit are well underway, with Toronto Maple Leafs President Brendan Shanahan set to highlight the show as a featured keynote. The event will be held on February 13, 2019 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, in conjunction with the Canadian International AutoShow.

A host of speakers have already signed on, including NHL Hall of Famer Shanahan, who will share his insights on the business of hockey. He will explore what it takes to build a winning team and culture.

Other speakers include Beata Caranci, Chief Economist & SVP, TD Bank Group, who will provide an update on the Canadian economy; Robert Karwel of J.D. Power Canada will offer a statistical update and forecast on the Canadian automotive industry; and Maryann Keller, Principal, Maryann Keller & Advisors LLC will review how the Canadian auto sector fits in with global auto industry trends.

“We always have a great lineup of speakers,” said Bonnie Wasser, CADA’s Industry Relations Manager, in a CADA Newsline issue. “This year is no exception.”

Other speakers include Andrew Coyne, National Post columnist, who will discuss Canada and U.S. relations; John Possumato, Automobile Solutions LLC, will reveal how car dealers can profit from Mobility as a Service (SaaS); and Nik Nanos, Chair, Nanos Research, will present research findings and insights into the political, business and social trends that are impacting Canadian consumers.

Warren Ritchie, the author “Competing in the Connecting World” will also be present during the event to discuss the key messages he developed in his book about the Internet of Things and its impact on society and business.

Wasser said their goal was to make the CADA Summit 2019 “even better than the previous editions.” Dealer favourites such as the dealer panel, will be moderated by Tim Ryan, Vice President and Director Industry Relations & General Counsel at CADA.

The 2018 Dealer Satisfaction Index Survey (DSI) awards will again be presented during the annual event. And attendees will be able to watch a video tribute to the 2018 CADA Laureates.
