Myers Automotive Group names new CEO

Cyril Leeder has been appointed CEO of the Myers Automotive Group. The announcement was made by company owners Harry and Robert Mews.

Leeder is expected to oversee the company’s operations in this newly created position. He will also help create and implement its long-term strategies, according to the news release.

“We are very fortunate to have Cyril join our organization,” said Harry Mews. “Beyond being a community leader in Ottawa for so many years he will bring a unique perspective to the rapidly changing automotive retail industry.”

Prior to his new role, Leeder most recently held the position of COO and President of the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, of which he is also one of its original founders. Over the years, he has also served on a number of corporate and non-profit Boards of Directors.

“Our group now has 17 locations with almost 1,000 employees so the timing is right to have Cyril’s expertise and background help us continue to exceed the expectations of both our customers and our employees,” said Rob Mews.
