Hyundai launches digital showroom on Amazon

Hyundai has launched a new digital “showroom” on Amazon to help meet changing consumers demands.

The carmaker is extending its customer service from the physical dealership to the online store through Amazon.com, where consumers will have the ability to compare vehicle pricing and reviews, check dealer inventories, book test drives and benefit from other Hyundai Shopper Assurance options.

“The car industry is changing, and customer demands and expectations around a frictionless, efficient and transparent experience are key drivers,” said Dean Evans, CMO, Hyundai Motor America. “Hyundai Shopper Assurance was just the first step in modernizing the way people shop for and buy cars. We are excited to continue improving the automotive retail experience by offering tools and access that make shopping for a car even easier.”

Hyundai says its online showroom takes prospective car buyers on a customer journey that highlights various key features from the automaker. This includes the company’s latest technology, automotive innovation, Hyundai Assurance, its three-day worry-free exchange, and so on.

This is not the first time that Hyundai, which considers itself the first car company with its own digital showroom, has collaborated with Amazon on a project. In 2016, they worked together on “Prime Now, Drive Now,” — Hyundai’s first-to-market on-demand vehicle test drive program, according to the automaker.
