Ontario’s Electric Vehicle Discovery Centre is now home to two 2018 Honda Clarity plug-in hybrid vehicles, which will be available for public test drives so that consumers can experience what it’s like to drive an alternative fuel vehicle.
“We’re grateful for the overwhelming enthusiasm around the Clarity Plug-In Hybrid,” said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Canada Inc. “Our support for the Electric Vehicle Discovery Centre is part of our continued commitment to popularize this technology as we start to introduce more electrified vehicles in our lineup.”
Honda is aiming to electrify two-thirds of its global fleet by 2030, and seeks to expand its alternative fuel vehicle offerings in the Canadian market. Receiving a permanent space at the Electric Vehicle Discovery Centre for its new Honda Clarity plug-in hybrid is part of that plan.
The centre was established in partnership with the province of Ontario to help educate the public about electrified vehicles, new and evolving technology, and all the benefits this technology have to offer. Testing of the vehicles are also part of that education.
