Susan Gubasta to be first woman President of TADA

Susan Gubasta will be taking the reins as the first woman President of the Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) on April 10, 2018.

The new incoming President, who is the President and CEO of Mississauga Toyota, brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. At TADA, Gubasta will be responsible for leading an organization of nearly 1,000 new-car dealers in Ontario who employ more than 45,000 people in the province.

“The dealership of today requires more specialized education and advanced skills than ever before. People think we sell cars and change tires, but we’re so much more than that,” said Gubasta. “We need marketers, social media experts, engineers, innovators, and more. My goal will be to educate the broader public and show people that there are rewarding careers in the automotive industry.”

TADA’s incoming President will aim to “educate and persuade” young people in the country that it is now more possible than ever to have a fulfilling career in the automotive industry. Gubasta is also supportive of having more women in politics and leadership roles in Canada.

She showed her support at the Equal Voice National EVE Awards on International Women’s Day — an event that was held to honour Prime Minister Trudeau and MPP Lisa MacLeod for their work in advancing women in politics.

“It was a privilege to attend and to recognize the outstanding people who are making contributions to advance women in public life,” said Gubasta.
