LAR launches Dealers’ Collision Technology Institute

Leader Auto Resources LAR Inc. has announced the launch of its new Dealers’ Collision Technology Institute located in Montreal, Que., which was inaugurated Oct. 18, 2017, according to the dealer purchasing group.

Its new facility features all the necessary processes, procedures and equipment to be a success — ranging from metalwork repair to aesthetic finishing — and is meant to be utilized by OEMs, ICAR, and LAR’s new car franchised dealership members.

The new “Dealer-owned state-of-the-art training facility ensures that our dealerships and our valued team members will remain at the forefront of OEM mandated collision repair protocols with leading edge technology and training,” said Al MacPhee, Chairman of LAR.

As the automotive industry continues to evolve, being in step with “the latest technology being advanced by manufacturers” is essential, according to Andrew Shepherd, Senior Director of Industry Programs at AIA Canada.

The facility will serve the growth and prosperity of the auto industry, he said.

LAR is the largest dealer purchasing group in North America. The group invested over $2 million in its new 6,000 sq. ft. facility, which is now the responsibility of Richard Villeneuve, LAR’s Director of Sales and Business Development, Automotive Refinish.
