OpenRoad VW event draws 600 customers

OpenRoad Volkswagen launched an event that attracted more than 600 customers and fans of the automaker in Burnaby, B.C.

The dealership’s annual OpenRoad VW Sunset Party is a summer gathering that is meant to celebrate the car brand.

“The idea for the party is a simple get together to celebrate modern VW culture on the West Coast.” said Ben Lovie, General Manager of OpenRoad Volkswagen. “It is also a great opportunity to casually showcase the great new line up of VW’s that have arrived recently including the Atlas, e-Golf and new Tiguan.”

The event included several vintage vans and collector Beetles along with newer Volkswagen models.

A beach volleyball court was set up for guests, who were also provided with snacks and cocktails.

OpenRoad VW Burnaby is the largest and most modern Volkswagen facility in the province, according to the group’s news release. The dealership opened in 2016 and is part of B.C’s OpenRoad Auto Group.
