Car Keys Express wants key replacement for retailers

Car Keys Express released a product that would take automotive key replacement away from dealers and put it in the hands of retailers.

The company is looking for new opportunities in Canada to enter the retail industry and is seeking to do so via the in-store version of its mobile key replacement system.

“Car Keys Express NOW! gives retailers the opportunity to make great margins, incremental sales, and increase store traffic by offering consumers an easy and affordable option to dealership key replacement,” said Kirk Stewart, Marketing Manager for Car Keys Express NOW!.

The technology allows retailers to offer key replacement to as many as 250 million North American drivers, according to the company.

The system is offered in several configurations depending on the number of cars a retailer wants to cover. The most basic version, the Universal Car Remote, covers 67 million vehicles and does not require any tools.

“It’s an easy sell,” Stewart said. ”Car Keys Express NOW! creates a new revenue stream [for retailers] for a minimal investment.”
