With more automakers getting into the hydrogen fuel-cell game, Hyundai is reminding the public that it was first to make these kinds of vehicles available to Canadians.
The makers of the hydrogen-powered Tucson Fuel-Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) have sponsored and launched a new interactive exhibit for Science World British Columbia at TELUS World of Science in Vancouver.
Through a virtual test drive, visitors are able to experience the environmental benefits of the Tucson FCEV, said the company.
Throughout the game, they can also answer true or false questions to test their knowledge of hydrogen fuel-cell technology and electronic and traditional ones.
“Hyundai is thrilled to be working with Science World to help the community better understand hydrogen fuel-cell technology,” said Don Romano, President and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada Corp., in a written release.
“More than 650,000 people visit this world-class facility every year. Now, they will have the chance to learn about the environmental benefits and realities of zero emission hydrogen powered vehicles,” said Romano.
This new exhibit is located in the centre’s Our World Sustainability Gallery, and is set to be in place for the next three years, added Hyundai.
