Grand Touring Automobiles celebrated its new downtown Toronto location with a groundbreaking ceremony, and invited OEM executives, industry members and Canadian auto dealer to witness.

The luxury auto retailer, which carries Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, is moving to a new home at 777 Dundas St. East, just east of the Don Valley Parkway.

Once the 141,000 sq.ft. facility is completed by spring of 2017, it will be visible from the Don Valley Parkway in Toronto.

“It’s where we have to be,” said Paul Cummings, Dealer Principal and CEO of Grand Touring Automobiles, in an interview with Canadian auto dealer. “We’re going to be part of the downtown fabric. We’re going to be part of the community.”

Cummings said the dealership is “busting at the seams” at its current Toronto location at 740 Dupont St., and needs to be able to expand to grow.

That won’t be an issue at the new location.

“It’s got the latest of the designs, it’s going to house all of these wonderful brands,” said Cummings. “This is going to have the latest and greatest from a lighting point of view, from an efficiency point of view, a parking point of view and security.”
