The OpenRoad Auto Group is involved in a special #DriveforCancer fundraiser benefitting the BC Cancer Foundation.

The OpenRoad Group is providing a supercharged 2015 BMW 650i xDrive Cabriolet to the MacKenzie family to drive during the 2015 Diamond Rally, held May 30, 2015.

Sarah MacKenzie was diagnosed with a rare ovarian cancer in 2011. The mother of two young boys saw this cancer return and was recently presented the option to take part in clinical trials. MacKenzie has had an overwhelmingly positive response to the clinical trial drug to date.

“OpenRoad’s commitment to the BC Cancer Foundation is encouraging to patients like me who are alive today thanks to the donor-funded cancer research being done in our own backyard. I feel like OpenRoad is celebrating my good health by treating us to a weekend of luxury in the Diamond Rally,” said MacKenzie, in a written release.

OpenRoad hopes to raise a minimum of $10,000 for cutting-edge new treatments that can help more BC residents.

The money will also go towards BC Cancer Foundation’s 2015 Inspiration Gala to bring life-saving immunotherapy clinical trials to cancer patients in BC within the next 18-months.

As part of the #DriveforCancer fundraising, OpenRoad is offering a chauffeured trip for two in a Rolls-Royce to Whistler and an overnight stay at the Four Seasons Resort for the largest donor.
