HUB technology enhances in-dealership car shopping experience

Hub-300Recognizing that many consumers research vehicles online before walking in to a dealership, Autobytel has announced its investment in GoMoto for an enhanced in-dealership car shopping experience.

GoMoto, which provides hardware and SaaS to dealers, develops user-friendly touch screens that they say bridge the gap between online shopping and the in-dealership sales experience.

Using the HUB technology, consumers can digitally browse new and used car inventory, research, build and price vehicles at their own pace, with sales staff nearby to assist if necessary, says the company.

Beyond browsing inventory, customers can also use the technology to value their trade-in, research sales, specials, financing and warranty information, request test drives and schedule service appointments. This information can be fully integrated into the dealer’s CRM system so that dealers can manage leads, adds GoMoto.

The company says this technology helps to provide a more pressure-free shopping experience while at the dealership, by helping to empower consumers in the buying or selling process.

Jeff Coats, President and CEO of Autobytel, says GoMoto’s HUB information is also accessible via tablets and smartphones from outside the showroom.

GoMoto says it will use Autobytel’s investment to expand its development team and commercial efforts.
