RTD/TriCan announced in a press release that it is launching a new tire distribution brand to help service local markets.
Called National Tire Distributors (NTD), the new brand will incorporate existing people, products and programs from TriCan and RTD to form one collective and regional tire distribution network, expected by February 2015.
“The NTD brand effectively takes the best of the value added tools and services from each of the originating companies’ to our large network of tire retailers,” said Mike Kustra, President of NTD.
“This new name proudly symbolizes the company’s goal of being Canada’s leading service provider in the tire distribution segment in all markets served, nationally, regionally and locally.”
NTD regional head offices in Edmonton, Alta., St. Laurent, Que., Dartmouth, N.S. and Burlington, Ont., where the corporate support centre is located, will be led by a regional vice-president and a dedicated team of tire professionals, said the company.
Another offering in the works will be an B2B ordering platform to help the tire retailer interact with consumers. The company expects the pilot rollout to launch in spring 2015.
