Tesla establishes new Toronto showroom and service centre

Tesla-Toronto1-300Palo Alto, Calif.-based Tesla Motors has announced a further expansion to its Canadian retail network with the opening of Tesla Toronto.

Located at 1325 Lawrence Avenue East, on the site of a former Lamborghini dealership, the 17,000 square foot facility includes an expansive showroom and also a state-of-the-art service centre. The latter marks a significant development for Tesla, enabling customers to have full service and repair procedures conducted on the premises. Canadian auto dealer was invited to the store’s opening gala which featured interactive displays, food and beverages.

Tesla-Toronto2-300As is standard practice for Tesla stores, members of the public are encouraged to visit and explore both the automaker’s electric vehicle offerings and on-site interactive displays. During the opening gala, local Tesla owners and invited guests got a chance to sample the Model S, talk with Tesla product specialists and enjoy the unique ambiance that has come to define the brand’s retail locations.

Tesla’s first Canadian facility was a boutique store in the Yorkdale Mall in Toronto and with the addition of this new location, the electric vehicle maker continues to grow its retail footprint in Canada. The firm’s Model S sedan, which was named the 2013 Motor Trend Car of the Year, can reach 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.2 seconds and boasts a range of 265 miles (424 km), the longest in the world for a series production pure electric vehicle.
