Scotiabank has announced the appointment of Ruth McBride to the position of vice-president manufacturer partnerships, Dealer Products & Programs. In her new role, McBride will be responsible for the overall strategy for product development of retail, manufacturer partner and commercial automotive programs. McBride will also be responsible for the acquisition and development of new and existing manufacturer partnerships and programs; and providing best in class, innovative solutions to Scotiabank clients.
McBride joined Scotiabank in 1983 and has held progressively more senior positions in the Bank’s operations, retail branch network, training and commercial banking divisions; and most recently as head of market development and client management, Automotive Finance and Indirect Lending. McBride has spent the past 13 years at Scotiabank specializing in the development and growth of the indirect auto finance business through the acquisition and launch of many large exclusive and semi-exclusive automotive manufacturer auto financing partnerships. Additionally, she has been involved in the creation of significant new products and programs, as well as developing key industry partner relationships.
