GM Canada marketing VP heading for Korea

General Motors of Canada Limited has announced that Marc Comeau, vice-president, vehicle sales, service and marketing is heading to the Republic of Korea. There, Comeau will assume new duties as vice-president of sales, service and marketing, reporting directly to GM’s current head of Korean operations, Sergio Rocha.

Comeau began his career with GM at the Montreal Zone Office in 1983, where he served as a product specialist. Later, he served in a variety of roles including Regional Human Resources Development Manager, Marketing/Business Planning Manager and Director of Strategic Marketing and Research for Buick Motor Division in Flint, Mich. He was appointed vice-president, Sales, Service and Marketing for GM of Canada in 2002. Comeau, whose replacement at GM of Canada has yet to be announced, is also an award recipient of Marketing Magazine’s “Marketers That Mattered” accolade.

Comeau holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Moncton and also completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign.
