Nissan Canada appoints new director of marketing

Brian Thomas, Director of Marketing, Nissan Canada Inc.Nissan recently announced the appointment of Brian Thomas as director of marketing for Nissan Canada Inc. Thomas replaces Judy Wheeler, who has been named regional vice president of Nissan North America, Southeast Region.

In his new role, Thomas will be responsible for all planning and implementation of Nissan marketing efforts across Canada, as well as product planning and vehicle sales incentive development.

“Judy has been an important part of the Nissan Canada team overseeing the successful launch of several core models including Sentra, Pathfinder and Altima,” remarked Nissan Canada president Christian Meunier “and we wish her continued success in her new position with Nissan North America.” In reference to Thomas’s appointment, Meunier said that “with extensive and diverse experience within the automotive sector including marketing, brand communications and dealer integration, Brian Thomas is a welcome addition to the Nissan Canada executive team.”

Thomas joins Nissan Canada from Volkswagen of America where he most recently served as executive general manager, brand experience and dealer integration. In this role he was responsible for all of Volkswagen’s experiential marketing strategy and execution, including auto show programs, events, sponsorships and partnerships, as well as dealer integration.
