Victoria Hyundai, in Victoria, B.C., recently announced that it had received the Hyundai Canada 2012 President’s Award of Merit. Upon the store receiving this accolade, John Vernile, Vice President of Marketing at Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. stated, “the President’s Award of Merit was established to reward excellence, and measures the four key attributes of; new vehicle sales, market share, certified pre-owned vehicle sales and customer experience. President’s Award of Merit winners have demonstrated an unprecedented commitment to the future of the Hyundai brand.”
Steve Munro, Victoria Hyundai’s dealer principal stated, “we are ecstatic. The entire team here rallies every day around a battle cry of “Building Customers for Life”, and being recognized validates those efforts.” With Victoria Hyundai being part of the AutoCanada group, Munro says that the award “showcases the culture that AutoCanada works to foster in all of its stores. These principles have allowed us to go to where we are today [as a group]. They will serve to grow us well into the future, across all brands and in communities across the country.”
When asked what he and the staff were doing to celebrate the win, Munro said, “we’ll have a bit of a party, but once the dishes are cleared away, talk will turn to winning two years in a row.”
