BMO Retail Dealer Finance recently appointed Jim Ruff as their new regional sales manager for British Columbia and the Prairie provinces.
The company says that as regional sales manager Ruff will be responsible for the teams of Relationship Development Specialists (RDS) promoting BMO financing programs with F&I managers in Western Canada.
Ray O’Kane, National Director BMO Retail Automotive Finance, says that Ruff is taking on a very important role. “As regional manager of RDS’s in the West, Jim is responsible for enhancing customer experience by recognizing regional industry trends that differentiate dealerships in the West from other dealer bodies across the country,” he says.
Ruff started working in the family Mazda dealership in Medicine Hat, Alberta at the age of thirteen. Having been in the financial services industry his entire career, his related work experience includes 10 years in auto financing with both Chrysler Financial Canada and BMO Retail Dealer Finance.
He also sold cars at a Chrysler-Dodge and GM dealership in Kelowna, B.C. Most recently, he was a senior commercial account manager at BMO and is looking forward to getting back into the auto business.
“Having worked all over Western Canada, Jim has an in-depth understanding of the dealer and consumer mindset specific to Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. Appointing Jim to this position was an easy decision, and we look forward to seeing how his expertise can enhance our customer experience.” says O’Kane.
