Groupe Touchette is expanding its warehouse operations in Winnipeg as the tire distributor continues to invest in its national distribution network.
The Montreal-based company announced plans to showcase its latest warehouse expansion during a media event at its 176,000-square-foot facility in CentrePort on June 18. Groupe Touchette said the investment underscores its long-term commitment to Manitoba and reinforces Winnipeg’s strategic role within its Canadian distribution network.
The company did not disclose the value of the investment or details about additional storage capacity in its advisory announcing the event.
A tour of the facility will be led by Paul Hyshka, Vice-President of Independent Sales, who will be available to discuss the expansion and the warehouse’s role in serving customers across the region.
Founded in 1979, Groupe Touchette is one of, if not Canada’s largest Canadian-owned tire distributor. The company operates more than 40 distribution centres nationwide and employs more than 1,800 people.
Through its TireLink and DT Tire distribution businesses, Groupe Touchette supplies tires and related services to automotive dealerships and independent tire retailers across Canada. The company also operates a network of retail banners serving consumers in multiple provinces.
The Winnipeg investment comes as distributors across the automotive aftermarket continue to focus on inventory availability and logistics efficiency. Expanding warehouse capacity can help reduce delivery times and improve product access for dealers, particularly during seasonal tire changeovers and periods of high demand.
Groupe Touchette said the Winnipeg facility remains a key component of its Western Canadian operations and broader coast-to-coast distribution strategy.
