UVeye brings same-day vehicle listings to dealers

UVeye has expanded its vehicle intelligence platform with the launch of Scan to Sold, a new offering that allows dealerships to generate retail-ready vehicle listings directly from the service lane.

The company announced on June 2 that the platform uses its existing drive-thru scanning technology to capture exterior, underbody and interior vehicle imagery in a single pass. UVeye said the new product is available in Canada and is already being used by Canadian dealerships.

According to the company, Scan to Sold automatically creates high-resolution photos, 360-degree images and other merchandising assets that can be distributed directly to dealership inventory management systems. The platform integrates with Cox Automotive’s inventory management solutions, including vAuto.

UVeye said the technology addresses delays between vehicle acquisition and online merchandising, a process that can often take days or weeks. The company reported that dealerships using the system can reduce time-to-market by an average of nine days and increase per-vehicle retail profit by more than $600 on average. It also said dealerships can reduce costs associated with dedicated photo booths and external imaging vendors.

“Dealerships today are under enormous pressure to move inventory faster, reduce costs, and earn customer trust at every touchpoint,” said Amir Hever, CEO and Co-Founder of UVeye. “With Scan to Sold, we’re giving dealers an increasingly powerful tool that works within the workflow they already have — no extra equipment, no extra steps. Scan to Sold extends the trust drivers already feel in the service lane to the shoppers browsing the same vehicles online.”

The launch expands UVeye’s platform beyond vehicle inspections and service-lane diagnostics. The company said its systems are deployed at more than 1,000 locations globally and scan more than 3.5 million vehicles each month.

UVeye said the platform now supports vehicle inspections, reconditioning workflows, sales engagement and same-day merchandising through a single scanning infrastructure.
