Jean Novak was recently named President and CEO of both Point S Canada and Distribution Stox—companies typically described as among Canada’s largest independent dealer and distribution networks for consumer and commercial tires.
The announcement was made by the board of directors for both companies. Novak will officially enter his new role on May 31, when the current President and CEO Bruno Leclair officially steps down. Leclair will work closely with Novak until his retirement.
“I’m thrilled to be taking on this challenge and joining Point S Canada and Distribution Stox, two firmly established Canadian companies that value performance, innovation, and entrepreneurship, namely within their network of over 875 dealers,” said Novak.
Novak has more than 30 years of experience working for major corporations in a number of industries, including telecommunications, technology, retail networks, and consumer goods. He is described as having built and grown businesses throughout his career, developing and leading new markets, introducing new product lines, and redefining standards to provide a better customer experience.
“Jean is a seasoned business manager, and I am confident that he will use his valuable experience to help both companies achieve their goals in the coming years. His exceptional experience will bring a great dynamic to our teams,” said Jocelyn Bernard, Chairman of the Board of Unimax (Point S Canada) and Distribution Stox.
Novak holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from HEC Montréal, along with a certificate in corporate governance from Université Laval.
