Cox Automotive Canada was named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2022, now for the third consecutive year.
“This award recognizes us as a great employer, and there is no doubt it is the contributions of all Cox Automotive Canada team members that have made this such a wonderful place to work,” said Annamaria Di Cesare, Director of People Solutions and Communications for Cox Automotive Canada.
In a news release, the company said the top employer competition is a benchmark for workplace best-practices that evaluates organizations on eight key criteria for employee satisfaction: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time-off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
Cox Automotive Canada said it continues to prioritize the well-being of its team members this year through things like virtual wellness events, a greater focus on inclusion, diversity and equity, and an active involvement in the community with fundraising efforts and other employee events.
New benefits included the launch of an employee vehicle purchase plan and extending the Canada Day long weekend. The company is also working with employees across the country to create a different way of working, thanks to the pandemic. This includes having more than 60 per cent of team members work remotely, while still being able to use the physical office for team collaborations and events.
“It would be easy to rest on our laurels after the first or second recognition, but nurturing a positive workplace is much too important and will always be our priority,” said Di Cesare.
This year, Cox Automotive Canada also announced its support for students, with two new awards at Georgian College Automotive School of Business.
