Chip shortage forces Stellantis to idle Windsor plant again

The Chrysler (Stellantis) assembly plant in Windsor, Ontario will be idled for the week of July 12 due to the global microchip shortage. The shutdown comes as employees returned to work just last week and the plant has been mostly down since March 29, according to Driving.ca, which said that “Stellantis announced its Brampton plant, which produces the Charger, Challenger and Chrysler 300, is also getting some down time.” (Source: Driving.ca) Read the original story…
