OpenRoad to build new dealership in Burnaby

OpenRoad Auto Group broke ground on a new Honda dealership in Burnaby, B.C. and is preparing to start construction of the facility, which will replace the current one at 6984 Kingsway.

The breaking ground ceremony included a small reception with representatives from OpenRoad Auto Group and Honda Canada — including Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group and Neel Ahuja, Western Zone Manager Auto Sales from Honda Canada.

“We continue to make significant investments in our business and believe strongly in the future of automotive retail in Burnaby and B.C. overall,” said Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group. “We look forward to providing our customers with an enhanced dealership experience in our larger Honda facility.”

OpenRoad Honda Burnaby will feature 64,000 square feet of interior space, 23 service bays, five detail and wash bays, rooftop parking, and 135 stalls available on the 3.8-acre land. The new central location is also meant to offer easier accessibility from consumers in areas throughout Metro Vancouver.

The new facility will be located at the intersection of Byrne Road and Marine Way and is slated to be complete in early 2022.
