OpenRoad Auto Group announced the official opening of a new dealership in a state-of-the-art Hyundai facility located in the Richmond Auto Mall.
The store, OpenRoad Hyundai Richmond, replaces OpenRoad’s former dealership of the same brand and which the company acquired in 2005.
“With the opening of our incredible new facility, we’re launching an exciting new chapter for our team and our loyal Hyundai customers,” said Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group. “This new building will allow us to elevate our customers’ dealership experience, while providing the space to keep up with the demand for Hyundai’s award-winning lineup of vehicles.”
The 33,000 square-foot facility is considered by the company to be both the newest Canadian Hyundai dealership and the largest in Western Canada. The building has a unique circular architecture and bronze-coloured design, meant to reflect Hyundai’s Global Dealership Space Identity.
The facility includes an 11-vehicle showroom featuring floor-to-ceiling glass for a more modern look and digital kiosks, aimed at enhancing the customer shopping experience. The service area includes 16 service bays, four service drive throughs, one detail wash bay, an automated car wash, and a customer lounge.
“The new Hyundai Richmond dealership is an important new landmark facility for Hyundai Auto Canada and we’re thrilled to expand our longstanding partnership with OpenRoad Auto Group with this prominent new facility in Richmond,” said Michael Thurston, Zone Manager, Hyundai Auto Canada Corporation.
The new dealership is located at 13251 Smallwood Place inside the Richmond Auto Mall.
