Quorum Information Technologies is expanding DealerMine’s BDC (Business Development Centre) operations from Saint John, N.B., to a second location in St. John’s, N.L.
The BDC services are offered to dealerships in Canada and the United States, with the goal of helping auto retailers drive business into the service departments.
“The increasingly competitive nature of the Saint John, N.B. the call centre environment and the federal government’s CERB (Canada Emergency Response Benefit) program have made it difficult to recruit the number of staff required to meet our dealership’s increasing demands for BDC services,” said Maury Marks, President & CEO of Quorum.
He said they are “firmly committed to our BDC” in Saint John’s, but that the company strategically needed to expand to a second location to attract additional BDC staff.
“In St. John’s, NL, Quorum has existing leased space available as well as HR (human resources) and network staff,” said Marks. “These combined factors made St. John’s a natural choice for a second BDC office.”
