Tesla signs deal with Panasonic for batteries

Tesla signed a three-year pricing deal with Panasonic as the two plan to work together to develop new batteries for the electric vehicle maker. The agreement is related to the production and supply of lithium-ion battery cells at the Gigafactory in Nevada. “Panasonic is no longer Tesla’s exclusive battery supplier, but has been able to turn around the U.S. joint battery business as demand for Tesla’s electric cars soar,” said Reuters.
