Toyota to reduce North American output by a third

Toyota is planning to reduce its North American output by nearly a third over the next few months due to the impact of the novel coronavirus. Autoblog says it plans to build approximately 800,000 vehicles at plants in the U.S., Canada and Mexico from April through to the end of October. “That’s down 29% from the Japanese automaker’s output in the same seven months of 2019 and 32% lower than its forecast in January for production during the period.” Read the original article…
