Montreal Auto Show to live stream unveilings

This year, the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) unveilings will be live streamed online at the Palais des congrès de Montréal through Livescale technology.

New vehicles are typically revealed on Media Day, which occurs one day prior to the public opening of the show. In this case, Media Day is January 16.

“We are pleased to be collaborating with Livescale alongside the Palais des congrès de Montréal on broadcasting our Media Day to everyone live,” said Denis Dessureault, Executive Vice-President of MIAS. “Our goal is to create a showcase for our carmakers and provide a public stage for their latest innovations.”

The streaming will be broadcast on social media outlets and “an unlimited number of websites,” said the Palais des congrès de Montréal in a news release. This ensures carmakers and dealers can promote the event on their own social media platforms. The video streams and webcasts will be hosted by Denis Talbot and former racecar driver Bertrand Godin.

Livescale services also include generating qualified leads for carmakers and live-chatting, which will allow people to ask questions about the show or specific unveilings.

“This 77th edition of the Montreal Auto Show brims with new and innovative technologies really worth discovering, including 37 Canadian premieres, 3 North American premieres, and numerous concept cars!” said Dessureault.

The show is open to the public between January 17-26.
