Cadillac launches interactive digital showroom

Cadillac has launched a live digital showroom that boasts a unique, one-on-one experience exclusive to Canadian consumers.

The luxury brand transformed a 10,000-square foot Toronto film studio into an online showroom known as Cadillac Live. It has been described by the carmaker as part personal shopper, and part live interactive digital showroom. The move falls in line with a growing need for OEMs and auto retailers to adapt to changing consumer demands and evolving industry.

“Today’s luxury consumers are increasingly time-starved and more discerning than ever,” said Hoss Hassani, managing director of Cadillac Canada. “What if someone offered an experience that combines convenience and accessibility with a high level of personalization? That’s exactly what Cadillac Live is.”

Cadillac Live allows car shoppers to have one-on-one conversations with trained agents across mobile and desktop devices. The carmaker calls it a “first of its kind in North America” tool that provides consumers with “real human answers” to their questions. The tool also ensures consumers can view the vehicles online (through a virtual tour) and explore every detail while speaking to a product expert via one-way video.

Online chat is something that a number of service providers have been offering to automotive retailers in Canada to allow consumers to connect with a real person. In this case, Canadians can connect directly to Cadillac Live through the carmaker’s homepage before going to the dealership.

“From the cadillac.ca homepage, shoppers can choose to begin a new session with a Live Agent, view a pre-recorded session, or book a Live session at a later time or date,” said the carmaker. “Once the experience is complete, the shopper has the option to connect with a local Cadillac dealership, so they can book a test drive and take the next step in their path to purchase.”
