News about Jacques Béchard, CEO of CCAQ

A note to Canadian dealers: Canadian auto dealer wanted to share with you the latest news about Jacques Béchard’s health after he was recently hit by a car on René-Lévesque Blvd. in Quebec City.

As you know, Jacques is an important figure in the Canadian auto retail industry, as the CEO of the CCAQ, the Quebec provincial dealers association, and a longtime advocate for dealer interests.

The CCAQ issued an update to advise the industry that Jacques is in stable condition in intensive care.

“An excellent medical team is taking great care of him and giving his family progress reports. Jacques was operated on last Thursday, and today the doctor will continue treating his injuries.

Jacques has a long road ahead of him, but we know he is very strong and he demonstrates that every day. Sylvie, Mylène, Katherine and Gabrielle thank everyone who sent messages of support to the family. Your support warms their hearts. Many of you would like to know where to send flowers to Jacques in the hospital, but that is not possible right now.

All employees of the Corporation are on the job, at la Mutuelle, CarrXpert, Occasion en Or, Ultra and the CCAQ, and business continues as usual. Please contact Lise Roy at the CCAQ if you have any questions.”

The whole team at Canadian auto dealer and Universus Media sincerely wish Jacques Béchard and his family a speedy recovery.
