EXPECT TO HEAR FROM HIGH CALIBRE SPEAKERS IN CALGARY AT KIJIJI’S UPCOMING DEALERTALK CONFERENCE

Western dealers can look forward to the next Kijiji DealerTalk conference in their backyard.
“We wanted to give the dealers in Alberta an opportunity to take advantage of hearing the speakers and not necessarily have to fly all the way to Toronto,” said Ryan Thompson, head of sales at Kijiji Autos and DealerTalk spokesperson, in an interview with Canadian auto dealer.
That’s why Kijiji Autos is launching its first DealerTalk event in Calgary, Alta. on October 1, 2015.
For the past three years, the one-day event has been held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto, Ont.
But Thompson found there were quite a few dealers flying in from across the country to the event — especially a large number from Calgary.
Because Kijiji Autos has a strong relationship with many dealers in Calgary, the new location made sense.
Dealers who have attended this conference in the past can expect a similar format and feel, but on a somewhat smaller scale. “We’re not dialing down the level of speakers and level of content,” said Thompson.
Marcus Sheridan, founder of the sales, marketing and personal development blog, The Sales Lion, will be back by popular demand. His keynote presentation will touch on the power of content and the importance of transparency.
Also from outside of the automotive industry, Joey Coleman, a world-renowned customer retention expert, will show dealers how they can turn their customers into fans to increase referrals.
Industry insider Stuart Bendall, sales manager at Gateway Toyota Scion in Edmonton, Alta. will walk dealers through a step-by-step playbook on how to create a Facebook campaign.
Niel Hiscox, publisher of Canadian auto dealer and Affaires Automobiles will act as event emcee.
Dealers should come away feeling inspired as they start planning for 2016, said Thompson.
“We want the dealers to leave with an actual playbook on what they can do to implement the next day at the dealership, not necessarily sign up for a new product at $10,000 a month in order to solve these problems,” he said. “We’re looking for speakers to help them out without having to spend any extra money.”
