Bob Vilas, current Executive Director of the association, has passed on the Motorshow responsibilities to Eleasha Naso, who has been with the association for 13 years and is now the Edmonton Motorshow Executive Director.
With this move, Bob Vilas and the association are preparing the grounds for Vilas’ retirement in 2017. At this point, Naso will take over all of Vilas’ role and responsibilities.
Vilas has been with the association for more than 16 years.
The goal of this transition period is to make sure the current successful formula for the show and the association lives on.
Under Vilas’ guidance, the show has grown from a relatively small 180,000 sq.ft. event to one that covered 500,000 sq.ft. for its 2015 edition; meanwhile, attendance has more than doubled.
Vilas says he’s thankful for the association’s dealers, who have been very supportive and gave him and his team the autonomy to grow the show and try out various activities that have contributed to today’s Edmonton Motorshow success.
